Take a difficult hike at Usery Mountain Regional Park
Usery Mountain is a great place to go hiking. There are 29 trails — ranging from 0.2 miles to over 7 miles — that will take you through the desert and offer beautiful views. If you don’t like climbing, then avoid hiking the Vista Trail. It’s a rugged uphill climb in the beginning but it has amazing views once you’re at the top.
Usery Mountain is also home to the saguaro cactus, which blooms around April to June. The flowers on a saguaro cactus are delicate, but they grow out of the most rugged and massive cacti you’ll ever see in your life. Just don’t walk into the jumping cholla cacti, or these flowers can stick to your clothes or skin.
